Gargi Vidya Sabha was established in 1993. It has three categories of membership:
1. Guardian members
2. Life-time members
3. Ordinary members
– The organisation has two main branches:
1. Ordinary Sabha (general assembly)
2. Executive Sabha (decision-making body)

Objectives:

The main objectives of Gargi Vidya Sabha are:

1. Education and Development: Provide general and technical education to promote physical, mental, moral, and spiritual development of students.
2. Nation-Building: Create good citizens who are well-educated, healthy, moral, and economically strong to contribute to nation-building.
3. Social Welfare: Promote social values like nationality, duty, patriotism, and brotherhood among people of all religions, castes, and communities.

Activities:

To achieve its objectives, Gargi Vidya Sabha:

1. Establishes Educational Institutions: Opens, manages, and maintains schools, colleges, and other educational institutions.
2. Promotes Social Values: Spreads awareness about the importance of nationality, duty, patriotism, and brotherhood.
3. Fund Management: Manages and develops funds to support its activities and cooperate with other organisations.
4. Social Welfare: Performs tasks that promote social welfare and contribute to nation-building. Social welfare refers to all the efforts made by the government organisation and individuals to improve the lives of people in society, especially those who are poor, helpless, or in need. It includes providing basic necessities like food, clean water, shelter, education, and healthcare so that everyone can live a life of dignity. Social welfare programmes support children who have no parents, elderly people who have no one to take care of them, and people with disabilities who need special assistance.
